The only way to take care of yourself when you suffer from celiac disease is to eliminate gluten from your diet. But how shall I manage that? It is not a simple matter because the gluten is not a specific food such as meat or chicken, you can easily detect and avoid in your food. Furthermore, this protein is found in many foods that we like to Latinos: bread, biscuits, cakes, pastries, the masses, oats, cereal and pasta, among others.

However, following a gluten-free diet is not impossible, it can get. Dietitians now know exactly what you can and cannot eat a celiac, and can advise you well. And as so many like you who suffer from this same disease, increasingly more products are “gluten free” to give you different options.

Most important to follow a gluten-free diet is that you start to know what you do not want to eat, and learn about alternatives that it can include in your diet.

What NOT to eat
