New York to Campaign Against Obesity

The problems of obesity in the United States are not new. Probably many of us comes to mind the flag of that country if we think of obesity or fast food, and the fact identify the culture of obesity to a country is quite problematic for a nation.

There have been few attempts by the U.S. government to curb this tendency to gain weight and unhealthy life. For example, in 2006 was banned in restaurants in New York Trans fats, and in 2003 banned smoking in bars and restaurants. Even thinking about forcing fast food chains to disclose calorie containing each of their menus.

And another initiative will be launched shortly, and is promoting through “green cars” of fruits and vegetables so that they are accessible to the population. (more…)

Reducing the Fat Content for a Healthy Diet

In addition to making us more prone to gain weight, too much fat in our diet can lead to high cholesterol, which may increase the risk of heart attacks and strokes. In general it is recommended to consume more than 30% of daily calories from fat, especialmene if you are overweight.
Unless you are prepared to adopt a vegan diet is almost impossible to avoid fat in your diet, but there are many ways to reduce fat in the diet to eating a healthy diet
• Cut the fat. Choose lean cuts of red meat, and then remove visible fat. It also removes the skin from poultry before cooking either, which is best, or else before eating. Remove them anyway.

The Perfect Diet

Until now saw the whole issue of exercise and nutrition as a kind of financial exchange that worked with mathematical precision. It was a “deposit” in the form of strenuous training session and then allowed me the luxury of “withdraw funds, putting purple from time to time. I thought that this would not incur a “debt” dietary greasy take me to a bankruptcy. The system worked? until, a few months ago, I started to gain weight.

Not that much, around about 7 or 8 kilos, but it is more than enough for some of my favorite shirts are me too “tailored.” Not to mention those jeans that I had to banish the back of the cupboard, waiting for better times …

What’s happening? When two and two ceased to be 4? Why would someone failed to warn us that there comes a time in which a grueling session of weights can not stand up to a plate of spaghetti carbonara with parmesan? Who is the love handle? (more…)
